Hello,
I am posting this in the hope that some of the good folks here will go over and see what is happening on the Wood Central site for the Katrina Relief auction. I did not do the math on the current amounts committed yet but we are in the $8000 neighbourhood at this time.
There are works there by many colleagues who have great skills and big hearts, all that we greatly respect and admire. I am also seeing that many items are still undervalued on bids. In essence we have wood workers bidding on wood items and as common wood hobbyists we know what we can afford.
I see this as also a super chance for many of us to acquire some incredible pieces from people we have long respected. The donations are very generous, the quality of the work is excellent...please give it a second thought and come over and see what is there that may appeal to you to bid on or even to donate a piece for auction.....the victims of the hurricane where ever they may be are in need, it's a "healing" feeling to participate.
Here is the Link to the auction.
