Hope that I'm not 'late to party', but congratulations on being chosen as a demonstrator for this year's Symposium.

Looking forward to meeting you. What will you be demonstrating? Many of us here in the forum want to know!😀

Thanks Donna, I was excited. I will be demonstrating my hand mirrors ( which is really more of a tool usage demo). I show how to use the common tools in several different ways and why they work. Of course you'll learn how to turn the mirror and handle in the process.
The other demo is making a Gift Ornament. This is a Christmas ornament that screws apart so you can hide gifts inside. I will be demonstrating the turning of the ornament as well as hand chased threads.

Odie I'm riding up with Jamie Donaldson and will be helping to set up all the video cameras so I'm sure there will be one.

Great! 😀

I remember seeing some of your videos of the past......entertaining!

Are you still walking around with one skinny leg, and one muscle-bound leg!

Ha!

Good luck

You must have seen the Appalachian Woodturner video of me on the spring pole lathe. I get asked that question a lot when I demo the spring pole lathe. One of these days I'm going to make myself a giant foam leg so one leg is actually larger than the other. Then I won't have to answer that question any more.

LOL.....that'll work! 😀
