Hi Just joined AAW and the Forum for the wealth of info available to a new turner. I took 2 weeks of turning classes back in 2019 before Covid but never got around to buying a lathe and tools. Finally bought the lathe and tools this January 2025. The AAW site and this forum have been very helpful in helping me remember what I learned. This week I successfully turned a small walnut bowl that I had rough turned from green wood in April of 2019. It was so dry it didn't even measure any moisture content on my meter.

Welcome to the forums. There is an amazing wealth of information here and a bunch of great people to help answer any questions you have. Enjoy your time here and please reach out if you need any help. Thanks
