Guys,

I am looking for a good price on Jet 1642 220V. If I am not mistaken someone on AAW forum bragged about finding a good deal on this lathe: $1700 including shipping. I could not find this post and going Jet 1642 price online is $200 - $300 more than that.

If anyone knows about any good deals on Jet 1642 please let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

I think (95% confident) the sale was at Woodcraft. Usually when I go fishing it's the old; "fishing was great here last week". 🙁

I've got the 120 V 1642 and sure like it.

Alex:

I bought my Jet 1642-2HP from Southern Tool - at that time (several years ago) they were the best price available, and shipping was also heavily discounted. I haven't shopped for big power tools since then, but I do know that toolnut.com was also competitive.

I got my 1642 from toolnut a couple of months back and was told that they would beat any price on any tool that they stock.

That was when Woodcraft had their sell for I believe $1799, toolnut was $100 cheaper with free shipping and I received it within three days from the date of the order. Nice folks to deal with. Good luck.
