Surgery to remove a cancerous prostate was Monday, March 10. I am now back at home. I breath, I walk, I pee through a tube ... and I am SORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, I survived that part. Now, I await the pathology of the lymph nodes. Should be ready by next Mondy, March 17. The results will determine the amount of chemo and radiation.

I know it is crazy, but as sore as I am (sternum to groin) I yearn to get back to turning ... even if it is just small stuff. But, I promised my wife of 38 years that I would wait at least until the surgeon sees me next week.

To all those who supported me with kind words, prayers, positive thoughts and energy ... THANK YOU!!!!!! More to come later ...

That is OUTSTANDING NEWS Dick!

I hope your soreness goes away very quickly, and that follow-up path reports are favorable.

Hang in there and don't push it! Heal and Health are the first priority - the lathe and associated toys will be there when the doc says "Go!!"...

Positive attitude helps positive prognosis!

Go for it!

Rob

congratulations on making it this far, I can empathize as I'm in my 3rd remission cycle.
Am truly hoping the results from the lymph nodes is a positive one, and that you don't have to endure much chemo/radiation
I hate to say this, but that is the worse thing I have endured in my life
But, keep your spirits up and keep a positive mental attitude as it really does help.
And, don't be a stubborn 'ol fool, let friends and family help you out when they can ......
You'll want to shut them out (I know, I've tried it 😉 ) but all they want is to help when/where they can, and it helps them too 😉

Since I've been there , if you ever want to talk, feel free to send me a message anytime
I'll just listen if that's what you need, or will help with answers if needed.
there really is an absolutely fantastic Cancer Support Community, make use of it
and most of all, best of luck, don't know you, but will be praying for your success.

I'm with you bowlman, hope all the test come out that they got it all. Good Luck and may God Bless You with future health.
