How much in USA dollars is L40.00? I have an opportunity to subscribe to WOODTURNING magazine at 25% off. I have subscribed to this magazine before and it is outstanding, but I would like to know how much L40.00 is before I subscribe again.
 
You can also go to Google and type 40 dollars to pounds in the search box and it will give you the answer. It's also handy for a lot of other conversions. (Try 8467200 seconds to fortnights for grins.)
 
All approximate, of course. And "accurate" only at the moment of computation. Add about 10% to allow for deviations, depending on policies of the magazine and your payment method.
 
I simply wrote them and asked how much they wanted in dollars. I've been a long time subscriber and they just started sending the renewals in pounds. Then sent an e-mail back to me and told me how much. Don't remember what it was now but I sent them a check and I'm still getting the magazine.
 
BTW, your friendly credit card company will almost certainly want a piece of the action - currency conversion transaction fee. Mine charges 8%...uck
