hello folks, i'm new to this forum so thought i'd say hello. I'm 30 years old and have been a weekend turner for 11 years. I live in leicestershire U.K and I prefer to turn hollow forms.
heres some of my work

i'm not used to these thumbnail things-
from left to right: African blackwood threaded box 22tpi open and closed views
ebonized oak hollow form about 7" tall by 8" wide hollowed through a 7/8" hole
spalted beech hollow form- 7" wide by 6" tall 3/4" hole

George - That's a lot of threads on the lid of that one hollow form. Quite the job to remove and replace the lid. Why so many?

Maybe they aren't threads and I'm looking at it wrong?

It is a African blackwood threaded box- the threads were hand chased with a 22tpi chaser- it spins on and of very quickly, less than a second from top to bottom. great fun to make
