Hartford Ground Transportation???

Does anyone have any useful tips on ground transportation from and to the airport in Hartford? I usually rely on the hotels for recommendations so I called today and they suggested taking a cab. I asked what the approximate cost is and they said $44 each way! After a tip that's over $50 each way!

I checked with Super Shuttle and they don't have an operation in Hartford. I looked around on the Internet without much success.

Check the Bradley Intl. Airport site. There iis hourly bus service from the airport to downtown Hartford.

The board was just in Hartford 3 weeks ago doing the final layout for the symposium. We had to jump together in a cab to get to the motel. We had four passengers each way so the cost was reasonable. It is my understanding that there is no shuttle service. I have asked Mary Lacer, our Executive Director, to check on the ground transportation options including the bus schedule and post what she finds out.
