I received my shipment today, I bought a few PL compounds and Wheel for lacquer/plastic and all I can say is WOW..........let me repeat this.....WOW. I buffed the pieces I posted a while ago and I can't believe how easy it was to get to a perfect finish. I am blown away and in awe of the finish it leaves behind. I have never really buffed out pieces by hand, well once I did and ended up with a satin finish. this PL compound is just leaving it like glass and removes all the little blemishes and spots no matter how good my finish was, it's just simply better now.

so if you ever wonder how you can get a perfect rubbed out lacquer finish, look no further.

unbelievable

all the pictures were before buffing, but I doubt you could see it on the pictures if it was, but in hand, the finish feels a lot better and looks nicer. I buffed an older piece and it looks so much better.
I get my wood wherever I can, ebay, the guy from florida that sells aussie burls and other places.

I have that system, but havent used it much yet. In his instructions, he says to apply 7-9 coats of lacquer before buffing. Do you think this is nesessary? I usually use sanding sealer and a couple of coats and get good results. I'd be going through an awful lot of rattle-cans if I coated everything 7 or 8 times.🙁

I have not tried the PL system yet with the compound but it sounds interesting and may be trying it.

I do have the original Pencil 3 buff system and have used it alot. I can see im going to be spending some more money soon ....LOL
