Glenn Lucas is an idol of mine, that goes without saying. I'm thinking about getting the double ended gouges, the GL4/GL6 and GL5/GL7 combo tools and am wondering if anyone has experience with them? I would like to get a whole set of his tools but craft supplies marks them up quite a bit so the combo tools with a hosaluk handle seems like the way to go. I'd appreciate any opinions either way.

I have not used his tools but I have his sharpening chart and moby jig which I bought off his website and he shipped from Ireland. He was at my club two months ago and said he would ship tools also. Learned a lot from him great teacher.

I too am most impressed by Glen and his work. I can't provide first hand experience with his tools but I do have several double ended Oneway gouges and find that I can resharpen as quickly as I can turn them end for end. the only advantage that I have found is that I can have two different grinds on a double ended tool but even at that I would prefer single ended tools especially those which are shaped for long life and lots of sharpening!
