Looks like we are going to have plenty of free wood around here agian. As much as that sounds like a good idea , I would just as soon hurricane Dennis went somewhere else to deliver gift of downed trees and limbs. Lots of areas around here still cleaning up after last falls hurricanes. It looks like we are going to be on eastern edge and Pensacola/Mobile will take the hit agian.

I have my chain saw ready to go. This time I have a bigger lathe and have discovered the fun of green wood bowl turning so I will gather up more than I did with Ivan. I spent all day delivering generators and fuel to in-laws in the Pensacola area, they couldn't get any over there and we still had some here in Panama City. There are none here now and all gas stations are sold out. Now it looks like it heading more this way than to Pensacola/Mobile area, but only time will tell. I do think many people learned a lot from Ivan, the area is definitely better prepared. I'm sure there will be plenty of good wood, it was amazing how much good turning wood became mulch last time.

I'm just a few miles north of you in Dothan. I'm not sure how well this area is prepared but Walmart is doing a booming business. Maybe it will fizzle out before it gets here.
