The forum went down last night around midnight with a database error message. I notified both Michael Seufer and Phil McDonald. A couple weeks ago we had upgraded our service when we were at our storage limit. This time our hosting service, HostGator, appears to be the source of the problem. It appears that they had erroneously set a Max Connections Per Hour flag to 1. Phil and Michael were on the phone with HostGator tech support this morning and got the problem resolved. Phil emailed me that he wants to ensure that there isn't a systemic problem with HostGator given that there have been two recent occurrences and he has authorized Michael to investigate the situation.

It went down shortly after I posted a long message and for a moment I thought it was something that I did. :D
In my old shop, before cell phones, the circuit breaker for the shop was inside the house, when she wanted me in for like dinner, she would flip the switch off! She would be in the kitchen rolling with laughter....

Not so funny if you're vacuum chucking ... keep the tailstock in place.

Bill, I've been on quite a few different forums and this one is excellent.
Easy to use, technically smart, sophisticated and fast. Looks thoroughly modern and up to date
Great work!

Oh...the people are great too.
:)

Now....if only I had time to do some more turning. sigh.

Turning? I thought that we just talked about it. :D

Thanks for the compliment. We spent a lot of effort looking for the best software that was intuitive, had great media software, and still had a familiar look and feel. We had our fingers crossed because changing forum software often moves people out of their comfort zone. We wanted to make it a pleasant experience and were pleased with the user response when we invited a number of members to give it a test drive before going live.
