Had the afternoon off and need to have materials for new projects, plus have a new ripping chain that I just HAD to dull....
I worked on some of a stack of Pecan that was too small for the bandmill, expected kind of blah like Pecan can be, but was pleasantly surprised with nice patterns and some spalting. Blanks are an average of ~4 inches thick. The other 2 pics are from one of the Mesquite stacks and have a couple of Hackberry blanks that were in the right place/time. Mesquite has nice patterns and grains (almost never lets me down) and the Hackberry blanks were a nice surprise with decent pattern AND spalting.
Just thought some of y'all would like to see something else.
