I read an article on food safe finishes sometime in the last 6 months or so. I know I saw some discussion about it on here and I don't remember what magazine or issue it was in. Can anyone help me with this info?

Rich,
Put "food safe finishes" in the search feature. I came up with 32 hits.
Lots of info there. If there is something specific you are looking for, ask it.
Remember it's usualy a 10 to 1 ratio...Ask 10 woodturners, you get 100
answers...

All man made finishes are food safe when completely cured out, which usually takes 30 days or longer after putting on the last coat. One of the best safe finish to use for food is Mineral Oil. Do not use Peanut or Olive oil, it will turn rancid😱. It can be redone real easy by just putting on another coat. With the hard finish ( such as Poly or other types of finish) is when you use a medal utencil and break through the finished surface, you ingest the finish that you put on the piece and also when the surface is broken through the oils from the foods that placed in the piece get in under the surface, causing more of the finish to come off and produce odor (rancid), bacteria and possibly rot into the piece.😱

Food safe

I guess I was misunderstood. I am not looking for informationon on food safe finishes, I am looking for which magazine this particular article was in. I know it was in one of the major woodworking or woodturning magazines in the last six to eight months, but I cannot locate it. Any info on this would be much appreciated.
