Greetings all! It has been a while since I posted, but this is a reminder to any and all of you interested that the Five Barns Picnic is still on for 2006. We have some interesting things that will be going on this year. One big feature is going to be the handplane contest. Make the best shaving and go home with a plane!

Learn to turn, or do one of the other many things that will be demonstrated during the picnic.

Get to know the faces and voices that go with many of your fellow forum inhabitants.

Start a new friendship or develop an existing one.

Bill, sounds like a wonderful event! Since I live about 1200 miles away I don't think I'll be able to make it unless I can piggyback it on another trip to need to make to NYC sometime this summer. It's this kind of friendship through woodturners that others just do not understand. Opening your home to that many total strangers with nothing in common except a little permanant sawdust in our hair is unheard of these days, I hope those that live closer take advantage of this experience.
