Ok, we're still waiting for some snow to melt to get my buddy's trailer out of his yard. I did not get the owners manual yet (although I will when I get the lathe) and I was wondering if anyone knows what size live center a Delta 46-541P would take. Is it a #2 MT? I don't want to order one and find out it's the wrong size.

By the way, I am ordering the bubble visor with my Oneway Wolverine system.... decided on the one with the T-dresser.

Thanks again for all the great info! I'll try to post pictures when I finally recieve delivery! (Probably Friday night or Sat. morning).

Thanks MichaelMouse. I searched all over the place last night to find something like that, to no avail. It is greatly appriciated.

For some reason the 46-541P does not come up on Delta's web site. I've tried it with and withouth the "P". I searched the entire site and the manuals section.

Dudley,

I suspect that the number you were given is actually a part number rather than the model No. of the lathe itself. The "46" id's it as relating to a lathe made by Delta. Contact the person you're getting it from to recheck it. I wouldn't be surprised if the number you have is actually the Delta part number for the original motor.

The "P" likely refers to a promotional package. Delta made a lot of topsides with different bottoms. Whether or not they furnished the lightweight stand and the low power motor or heavier in both would be the Promotion. If you look where I pointed you, you'll see that your 46-541 parts list is valid for 46-211 thru 224 four speed, various stands, and 541 thru 544 Reeves.

Thanks for the info folks. I'm getting the lathe in the morning! I'm excited, but I won't be able to use it until after Christmas. But I am looking forward to family and friends.

I'll post pics as soon as possible.
