My Walker Turner lathe has a 1 inch 12 tpi spindle on both the inside and outside.
I found aluminum face plates at Lee Valley and Grizzly for this spindle. Those are the colored ones and run about 12 bucks each. 2 inch or 3 inch available.
I have one stainless steel Oneway 4 inch plate. But I can't afford many of those.
Check with the folks at OWWM.com That is Old Woodworking Machines
They have a wealth of knowledge and pointers. The Walker Turner Section has a large number of pictures and original factory catalogues. I recieved the advice I needed to take my lathe apart, rebuild the headstock and feel comfortable knowing what I was doing. Also they helped me to date my 'old arn' to 1936.
