Looking for info on the Elu planer-jointer, I come up with zero on the internet. One on craigslist. Not looking for a commercial machine but something better than the current Jet 8" combo machine.

As the thread says, was, but no more. Swiss stuff, if memory serves, in the European tradition of multiple-use machines. Inca was another brand with short-bed jointer and planer.

If you're looking for a molder/planer, The W&H is a good one. Only US machine that comes to mind is the Foley-Belsaw and other-badged. Think it's virtually the same as the JET. http://belsaw.com/
