Any thoughts on this piece of pecan? I think it's so cool but suspect that turning any part of it would end said coolness post haste.
Perhaps using a grinder and a foredom tool to expose the wood would be the way to go.

I would do nothing to it except display it. Sometimes Nature knows best what to do what a chunk of wood. Like this one.
