FWIW, I have the new-production grinder platforms (essentially identical to the “old”, AFAICT) and really like them. I got the version that attaches to my existing Wolverine base setup. The key feature IMO relative to the Wolverine platforms is that they pivot right at the wheel, so you setup the desired gap of the grinding platform from the wheel ONCE, and you’re good to go. From then on, setting the angle is super fast.
