Greetings All,

I'm from Calgary, Alberta and have been turning for about 25 years off and on. Just got fairly serious about it this past January. Mostly doing lidded hollow form type stuff currently, incorporating other elements like driftwood, iron wire and corian into the pieces. Love pushing my boundaries and seeing what appears.

If you have the time please have a look at my website or Instagram page.

Welcome aboard. You must have a different poplar from the deep South. I have never seen that kind of grain in poplar down here. Great work.
Hi Gerald, yes, we call it Poplar (Genus Populus) but its actually Cottonwood . Whereas the southern poplar is genus Liriodendron, Tulip poplar. Very different trees to be sure.
