There has been a suggestion to setup a display of the AAW forum contest winners at the symposium. We would probably set it up in the instant gallery area in a designated location.

I think this is a good idea. What do y'all think? Are some of the contest winners (places 1st-3rd) going to attend the symposium?

My vote is also yes! If the actual pieces are not available then maybe post some nice photos in the instant gallery area. If nothing else it would promote the forum and the contest. Unfortunately the AAW forum at times I think is among the better kept secrets in resources for woodturners. Any publicity would be good, and the winners deserve additional recognition for their excellant work.

My piece is already sold and I probably won't be able to go to the symposium either. It is a good idea however. If you let everyone know in advance it would be incentive to enter and then we could hang on to the piece and ship it if we weren't attending the symposium.

Hey, wait jes a minit here. I had a stool at the bar already reserved for you, and now you ain't goin? Sheesh 🙁

I am going and I could bring my peice, I agree with woodwish that this could draw more attention to the forum and website.

Thanks for the Opprotunity

Jeff
I will be there and I will my little Layered bowl. So with Chris and I you have two of three positions covered for the Winter Contest. Good Idea.

I am really looking forward to the Symposium. It seems that the event is very member driven with ideas like this popping up and being implemented. No 'red tape' as with most other conventions/meetings I attend for work.
