Are any of you planning on attending the Desert Woodturning Roundup in Mesa, Arizona, this coming February? I'd like to know which of you luminary turners I might get a chance to rub elbows with!

I just checked the calendar and couldn't believe the the Roundup is exactly one month from now. If you do come, be sure to dress warmly -- it's only 62 partly-sunny-degrees outside right now. Maybe we'll have better weather in February.

If you haven't made up your mind whether to attend or not, check out the line up of demonstrators and vendors: http://www.desertwoodturningroundup.com/

Do you think I'll be able to get Alan Lacer to sign my DVD collection?

Hi David, 62 degrees will be a welcome relief from the ice storms and snow we're experiencing in New York. Look me up, I'll be the one wearing a t-shirt.

There

I was there and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I learned so much and particularly enjoyed Jimmy Clewes' roations on colored platters and goblets. And Alan Lacer turning those miniscule spinning tops with a giant skew was simply outrageous.
