This month's turning challenge was to make a tree or a group of trees. There were 11 fantastic entries! Now, the challenge for all forum members (this means you and me) is to choose a winner. Voting begins now and concludes at midnight on Tuesday, 31 December, 2024.

You are allowed two votes; once you have voted, you won't be able to go back and change your votes. After you have voted, you can track the vote totals. The voting is secret (just like an actual election), so nobody else can see who you voted for (not even the moderators/administrators). In case of a tie vote, the forum moderators will gather in a virtual waist-deep shavings-filled shop to determine the winner.

As in all previous challenges, the winner might have to pass a lie detector test before being awarded the Grand Prize (rumored to be a high-carbon dogleg SRG).

The following are this month's entries (including the next two comments):

I made a couple changes to the poll, but they don’t affect the votes that have been cast. I noticed that people who have voted could go back and change their vote so I changed that to comply with the rules. I also noticed that the results could be viewed without voting so I corrected that issue. It’s possible that could have influenced the vote outcome. We will assume that people used their own judgement when voting. I also set the poll to automatically close at midnight on December 31.

Fantastic array of submissions, folks! The voting just gets harder and harder. I was thinking of asking to have this divided into 2 categories (perhaps 'traditional' and 'out-there' or 'colored' and 'non-colored'), but realized I still couldn't choose.

Alex, your dad would be very pleased with what you're doing with his wood. 👏👏👏

Big congratulations to @Alex Bradley for her wonderful natural and colorful treescape! From the crowd, this was a challenging decision, but the people have voted. Thanks to everyone else for participating. In my humble opinion, every single entry was a winner for unique reasons. I had a blast watching the entries come in.

Stay tuned for January's challenge announcement within the next few days!
