Hello everyone, I am located in Poestenkill NY (just east of Albany). My experience in turning is very limited... long time ago in HS and some brief self taught spindle stints 30 years ago (which developed some bad techniques). Now retired from the fire dept I have joined Northeastern Woodworkers Association and Adirondack WoodTurners recieving some great instruction.and meeting some wonderful people. At first I was interested in turning wooden bells so i could cast them in brass but now I am adding off axis turnings as its so different and leaves people scratching their heads. I am currently rehabbing a very old F E Reed Co 10" wood lathe that was my Grandfather's ( a pattern maker by trade). Looking to reach out to any members who may have experience with this brand. I believe it may have been made around 1908 so no "owners manual" LOL. I will post photos as the project progresses
