I have seen tons of stuff extolling the virtues of OB's shine juice, I am looking for a commercial version of it that is for sale. If anyone know of where some (or it's equivalent) is available I would sure like to know of it.

Thanks for any input/advice--

It's available commercially as a three part finish in which you mix the three parts together before use (well they are commercial products ... it's a lot better than gathering lac beetle poop and then refining it). Here are the instructions from Captain Eddie: O.B.'s Shine Juice

And as O.B. Lacoste said, if it were any easier he would have to come over to your place and do it for you.

I have made a number of "Friction Polish" compounds similar to the OB Shine, I use teak oil mixed with shellac and alcohol.

And most friction polishes are a concoction of shellac, oil and mineral spirits....the only variable is the oil you use, unless you want to add a wax to the mix and create a paste.

It was my understanding that teak oil and danish oil are oil/varnish blends (perhaps also thinned with mineral spirits) and not just BLO

Yes, If you read the link that I posted it does say that they contain varnish. I have also read magazine articles by Flexner, Jewitt, and Dresdner years ago when I was doing flat woodworking that said the same thing.
