This is a recent collaboration with my friend Linda Jacque. Her painting is full of color and detail, so I need to keep the form simple in order to allow the painted surface to take center stage. This is a poplar platter that measures 23 inches across. My largest platter to date. I was able to turn it to about 3/16 thickness which gives it a elegant presence.

Very nice, Congrats to you both for your successful result. A collaboration does create quite a bit of excitement. More turners should try it.
