I'm trying to help a pen turner find a chapter near Little Rock. I went on the home page, did a chapter search in Arkansas, and several show up. Can you not link to chapter web sites anymore? With all the names of the chapters, and not being able to link to a web page, I have no idea where any of those chapters are located. I must be doing something wrong?

The new AAW web site has been up for only a few days, and probably not yet fully functional.

In the meantime, consult Google or a recent Resource Directory. Both of those indicate only two chapters in Arkansas with their own web sites, Ozark and Stateline. The RD lists a few others, with service areas and contact information, which of course may not be up to date.

I can help you some. I attached a map of the chapters centered on Arkansas ant the websites the chapters listed in January

The new system has some growing pains. One of which is updating the chapter data.
The old system was text based and it populated the web page with whatever the chapters put in the fields.
Chapters were never given rules for data entry because they were not needed
The new system is context based and needs valid URLs in the webpage field and addresses in the meeting location.

I do some GIS mapping with chapters to assist the AAW. I use batch request to Bing, google, and mapquest to get map coordinates(geocodes).
About 30% end up with the city center as best location any of them can do.
one or more might find "Bartow civic center" none find "wood craft on highway 19"
one chapter listed city that was not in their state

Diamond State Woodturners meets the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in Jacksonville just north of Little Rock. The meetings are held at the First United Methodist Church Connection Center at 308 West Main Street. For more information contact John Wilkins at johnbwilkins@hotmail.com, Phone 501-988-9806, or Vernon Oberle at voberle@centurytel.net, Phone 501-247-1737. Hope you can make it to our club.

Richard,
Find the chapter you want then, on Bio, this will give some info about the chapter and an option to click on there website, if they have one.
This worked for me, but there are some weird things on this site.
