Well, as long as I can remember, we could count on Ken Grunke as the voice of reason in the forums. He has been a moderator for as far back as my emails go. Ken has decided it is time to step down and I want to publicly thank him for all his efforts and dedication.

With that said, as we close down the AAW Yahoo forums, we welcome Ryan Polokoff on as a new moderator. Treat him kindly (as first) he is new to moderating the forums.

And thanks again Ken

I have a gut feeling that Ryan can handle anything that's dished out to him 😉
Welcome, Ryan.

I need to cut back on my computer time, not just here, but in general. Spring is on the way, I'm itching to dig some dirt, plant seeds, and spend more time in the shop.

Steve, thanks for your support in the last couple years and thanks Kurt for all the pleasant phone conversations. I'll still be around, not going anywhere!

Fondly!

Seems like, if there was a pot, I'd end up stirring it - and spilling stuff all over the place...
Ken always handled we trouble makers with (what I though was) a pretty even hand.
Thanks Ken, enjoy the planting and turning and stuff!

Thanks, George!
As soon as I shake this nasty flu bug, I'll be out in the shop. Started Tuesday, I'm feeling a lot better today so tomorrow looks hopeful. We are getting a break from the frigid temps for the next week or so, with sunshine and thawing temps. Just like Spring!

Trouble Makers?

On here?

I'll bet not...

Anyways - Hello to everyone that I have never met or had a chance to know. I look forward to meeting you all!

...Ryan

Ken,

You had better spend some time studying the seed catalogs, I know you have a good four months before planting time! I know because I was raised on a farm in central Wisconsin and left there after 23 years.

Thanks for great work and I enjoy your advise on the forum.

Fred

Best of luck, Ken, and I hope to see you again soon...especially if Aaron keeps me informed on the demo plans for your club.

And...welcome to Ryan.

Yes, with this weather tease, (snowshoe trails are sticky), thoughts in WI switch to spring and summer projects!

Thanks for your time Ken, you helped to make the forum what it is today.

Fred, I have to admit, my itchiness is a bit premature--easy enough when we get teased like this as George mentions 🙂

Dave, we may get up in the mid-30's today, but upper 40's in a couple days. As I said, I ain't going anywhere, just won't be here all the time.

Cyril, looking forward to seeing you and your lovely wife again, and Aaron too--it's been a while since I've seen Aaron, since he moved!

Thanks, everyone,

Thanks Ken !

Glad to hear you will be getting more time to enjoy what brought you to the forum-turning. Good luck with the garden too.

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication over the years.

Thank you so much, Don!
I guess we need to have a few wet spells before the planting begins. I have the old plant shelf ready for the starts, it will need to be cleared of general catch-all items.

Best regards,

Ken I thought I wrote a thank you yesterday but it must have been in my mind. I will write a big THank You for all the work you've done. We really appreciate it. I know you'll be around keeping an eye on us. Thanks again.

John, I'm just gonna relax and be myself, it's a good feeling. Thank you, and thanks Ron!
