I could not wipe the smile off my face today!! Love my Bose noise cancelling bluetooth earbuds! I was able to hear people that came to the studio, I could hear their car door, and, best of all I can hear the tv in the background. I can hear all my cuts too, always did, even with noise isolating earbuds. The Airstream is barely a whisper. Amazing technology. Thanks to Alan Zenreich for the advice.

Bluetooth? Mine are wired noise cancelling headphones.. Bose QC20i model.

Alan, since we both acquired our Bose systems, they have developed a cordless blue tooth version. I'm aware of it, but can't upgrade until my/our current corded version 'gives up the ghost'. I'm currently engaging in séances and voodoo rituals to accelerate the process:-)

Ah, yes the QC30 is bluetooth version of the current wired earphones.
It's a larger form factor, and wireless, and will work well under a helmet/faceshield.
A very nice option... make sure you bring it with you to Portland so we can show folks the various options.
I will bring some toys including my Bose QC20i noise canceling earphones, a new pair of ISOTunes Pro isolating bluetooth earphones, and some bone conduction headphones (no noise canceling at all... but good for situational awareness).
I'm clearly in it for the toys!

I will definetly be taking the QC30 headset to Portland! They will also come in handy during the long flight over... Looking into it, I can choose the level of cancelation, if that's the right word, I'm not sure. I don't have an "awareness" setting...
