I had built a flat plate vacuum chuck with 2mm craft foam as a seal and got to experience the joy of vacuum chucking. Only needed about 7” vacuum to hold the bowl very securely. I finished it with three coats of Osmo finish.

Beautiful bowl. I never imagined that poplar could look so nice.

Very nice bowl. You captured the contrasting grain colors to complement each other. BTW, the wine glass shows you have visited our fair state. Don't indulge any more but wineries and craft breweries are a big thing here now.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse??? Wife checked into one that opened a few years ago. Two of us would have a tab of $150. That buys a lot of groceries....or a couple of turning tools.
Again, like the bowl!
