Every SERIOUS woodturner should have at least 2 of these machines... one for serious big works and one for turning tops!!!!!!!
I work with a machine shop a few miles away from our facility that has a large metal lathe that has a 48" diameter face plate and a bed about 30 foot long. I always have to do a walk around the machine when ever I visit the shop. Always envision a big log turning between centers.
