We have closed the loop with the AW Journal printer representative Rick. They have indeed found a small glitch in their software. A small percentage of AW Journals were assigned incorrect SCF locations (the 3 digit code). As a result, those particular magazines were sent half a country away, then rerouted to the proper address. They did not find errors in the other magazines they print. 😱
The printer has told us they have corrected the software. Then they reran the AAW addresses and SCF codes to verify that the change correctly fixed the problem. (Note that they generate the SCF codes). So it should not occur again.
I would like to thank the general membership for identifying this problem. The problem only occurs if the 3 digit SCF code is incorrect on your label.
I would also like to thank folks for their patience.
For the spring issue, it might be good for everyone to help us verify there are no further problems. Just check your 3 digit code. It should be similar to the first 3 digits in your zip code. If you found an error on the Winter issue and this problem re-occurs then I'd like to hear about it. In that case I'll collect a few of the names/addresses and determine why the issue was not correctly resolved (in December 2005).
(I'm going to make this a sticky thread for 2 or 3 days).
Thanks,
....Jeff :cool2:
