Does anyone out there have any suggestions, besides making up one's own spreadsheets, on a software product for artists who do wholesale and consignment? Looking to keep track of inventory and sales at various shows and shops/galleries.

Thanks...........Mark

Hi Mark!

For the last 5 or 6 years I have used separate Excel spreadsheets to track inventory and sales for each of the galleries I sell in. I would also be interested in knowing if there is affordable software available that caters specifically to artists that work with multiple sales venues, and can also handle inventory tracking, etc. at each place. It would be convenient to have an instant status update about sales and inventory for all of the work I have out and all that has been sold, as well as the type of of piece sold (e.g. vase, platter, bowl, hollow form, etc.). I can get to this information with the system I'm using, but it's not particularly convenient or time efficient for me to get there. Also know that I am by no means an expert at the use of Excel, and it may be that Excel is actually all that I need if I knew how to use all of its functions!

I'm submitting consignment sales pieces tomorrow to a 5th "new" gallery (for me), and I'll soon be selling at a 6th, likely to begin early next year. It would be good to have a better system than I'm working with now, although Excel works pretty well.
