Last year the first monthly turning challenge was to turn an egg laid by any member of the Aves class from hummingbirds to ostriches. For this month’s challenge we revisit the egg, but this time it’s, all "yolking" aside, a mammal egg … not a platypus nor echidna egg, but eggs of the elusive and rare Easter Bunny. This time we’re upping the difficulty. Your Easter Egg must also be a box so that like a real Easter Egg it can hold a special treat (chocolate or other sweet). So, let’s get “cracking” and allow your imagination to run as wild as a hare. Have fun and make lots of shavings.
And now, the legal stuff:
And now, the legal stuff:
- Only one entry per person and unlike prior challenges you must submit TWO photos of your Easter Egg … one “unhatched” and the other ”hatched” (open).
- Another change from previous challenges: if you turned an Easter Bunny Egg box as early as March 1, 2022 in anticipation of Easter not being canceled by the pandemic, it is eligible for the April Turning Challenge.
- Entries must be posted in this thread.
- The deadline for posting entries is midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on April 23, 2022.
- As always, this is a turning contest, not an old moldy photo contest, so in fairness to everybody, make sure your work is something you‘ve turned after March 1, 2022.
- Voting will take place from April 24, 2022, through midnight UTC on April 30, 2022.
- The winner might have to pass a lie detector test before collecting the prizes. Good luck, have fun, make shavings!!
