Any Info on Baliegh Wood Lathe WL-1847VS

Same lathe Grizzly has & theirs has the bugs worked out & they support their customers fairly well.

They both come from the same factory. No idea why one would have bugs and the other not. Grizzly is a much larger company, works on more volume. I've sworn off any Grizzly machine with a power cord. Had a horrible experience with a big band saw and spent a few weeks rebuilding it. Finally sent it back. No way that machine should have ever been shipped from the factory, so I don't trust any of their quality control now.

I've never seen anyone that did everything perfect every time I don't, do you? I have 5 of their machines with no problem my 5 trumps your one every time.

I've never purchased an brand new, unusable machine, from anyone before, and I've been woodworking for 41 years, 23 of those professionally. Have you had to call Grizzly customer service for any of your Grizzly machines? I never had to call any customer service departments, ever, until I bought a Grizzly, and I was calling them daily for a while. That spoke volumes to me.

Just because they are from the same manufacturer and look alike doesn't mean they were built to the same spec.

If you don't think this happens with other venders think again. It just didn't happen to you.
There are people that have had good luck with Grizzly & bad luck with other venders. Consider where most tools are made now days with a few different specs & a different color of paint.
Nope never had to call on one of my machines. 14" band-saw, combo sander, 2 hp DC, Radial DP, Used Portable planer.

I have some Craftsman tools not manufactured by todays standards but by 1950's & 60's standards used to be my Dad's used for many many years in a professional shop & out on the construction site, purchased when tools like we have now days were not affordable or available in some areas to the small business owner.
I also got rid of a C -Man contractors saw made in 1997 a piece of junk only because it's arbor shaft was 5/8" for only the thickness of the blade out from the flange then something a little less in diameter so that a Dado set would not be concentric to the first blade next to the flange. I ordered a new shaft it arrived with the same problem & I was told that was the way they were supposed to be. I asked them why other C-Man saws namely my Dad's saw wasn't made that way & a Dado set worked just fine on it. It got real quiet on the other end of the phone line. I put a Ridgid fence on it & kept the C-Man fence it worked great. I moved it to my Dad's 1957 C-Man contractor saw it's fence was worn out. The newer fence bolted right on & was spot on accurate the first time with no special extra work.
