Alaska turners

Alaska

Doug,

You might be waiting a bit for a response from Alaska wood turners. We are all busy with our yearly symposium and taking classes. This year the symposium and classes offered Eli Alviseri, Jimmy Clewes, and Stuart Batty. It was a great symposium and the advanced classes from these gemtlemen have been outstanding.

The website for alaska woodturners is www.akwoodturners.org. It is a very friendly group of people that are willing to help and share what they know. Pretty much like turners everywhere. This group can also appretiate the difficulties of getting supplies in Alaska.

I appreciate the replies. I'm just getting my shop set up again after being without it for almost two years. I'm hoping to be able to find other turners here on the island, but just to be able to communicate with others in the area will be refreshing. Thanks for the link.
Doug
