I have this 3M product:

I'm wondering if there are secrets to attaching a new disposable throat piece? As you can see we've tried tape but are thinking of velcro.

Thanks for your help.

The owners manual for the Airstream describes how to fasten the throat seal. It's hard to tell from your picture, but it appears that you haven't attached it to the tabs at the edge of the visor frame.

Here are a couple pictures of my Airstream.

The first picture shows the hooks on the visor frame going through the holes in the Tyvek seal

And the second picture shows the loop at the middle hooks around the large hook at the bottom center of the visor frame. That hook also is a retainer for the visor so it may be difficult to squeeze the loop under the hook. If you use a thin blade it can help to get the loop under the hook. Just be careful so that you don't break anything. The 3M instructions don't show the loop with a twist, but this is a trick that the helpful folks at Airware America suggested.

I assume that you know how to wrap the loops at the back end of the Tyvek seal where it attaches to the temple seal.

Thank you Bill. I have a full day of doctor's appointments today but will take a good look tomorrow. Did you cut the little openings to put the tabs in or where they already there?

I guess the problem I have is in my replacement Tyvek seals there are no openings along the bottom to connect the tab to. I'm not sure where I may have gotten them from but I suspect Envirosafety products since that's where I got the unit from. I any case the replacement piece looks different now with the pull tab on the bottom. Once again we'll have to improvise. Thanks for the photos.
