I got this from outside in the courtyard. It had been hanging outside in the weather for, ohh I don't know, maybe 70 years before I dragged it in and set it here.
I wanted a nice show case for turned things.
It is made from a norway maple I cut down and turned into lumber.
That's a toe kick forced hor water heater (on its own zone) in the base & it REALLY makes a difference in the huge room.
I have a plans for another piece of shelves that will sit on top of that piece and go up near the ceiling with crown molding flaring out
This is that platter I was talking about a while back that I accidentally knocked a hole into the center while thinning.
It'll be a user for the missus to put dip and veggies in when entertaining.
Elm and maple
Another bowl I recently finished
I guess I'm turning into a turner because I'm contemplating this as a signature feature
Five little cuts done with a skew corner
