a lot of crushed trees

This is what happens when it snows before the leaves turn colors & die off. Pretty sad really what has happened to all the trees. 3 people died in the storm, which is definitely tragic. One killed by a falling branch.

Martin,

People dying is always tragic. No words I have can make that fact easier to accept.

News reports state, that up to or exceeding 75% of all trees in the Buffalo Metro Area have been damaged. Surprisingly, the tree reputed to be the oldest in the city (approx. 250yrs old, dated in the early 1960's) survived unscathed. The upside is the trees will recover from this natural disaster, new trees will be planted, and we can turn the damaged stuff. :D
