These are 75 tops I made for my sister. She is a volenter Grandma at the local and she asked me to make her some tops for her kindergarden,1st and
2nd graders. Most of them turned out ok but some of them could have been painted better. It sure was fun do something for the kids.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I agree Duff,

The turning could be better, the painting could be better, the finishing could be better........

But was just wondering if you think the kids will notice.......

what chatter device did you use?

I notice some have chatter on them.
What do you use to get that effect?
In particular, was the "blade" stiff or flexible?
Any other thoughts?
Thanks.

The chatter work was done by a home made chatter tool that used a piece of steel strapping used for banding on a pallet. The first one I made the piece of strapping I used was to long. The next one I used I used a wider and thicker piece and made it shorter. That seemed to work pretty good and the price was right.
