I’m about to buy the vari-grind # 1 and there are 2 sizes, one small that is for 1/8 to 5/8 and a larger one that goes from 1/2 to 1 1/8.

A recent issue of the AAW magazine had a great article about the rise of the Irish grind. I checked my bowl gouge and it has the parabolic shape shaft. The U-shaped shaft was not good for the Irish grind. Here- can it be ground on a Wolverine setup with the Vari-grind 2 jig? Or is it done done...
