Teak box with african blackwood inset. I would have said that Ive never met a type of wood that i don't like but this teak was painful to work with. It would dull my scraper in seconds. I am super happy with the results however, such a wonderful colour.
A friend gave me this piece of teak. It appeared to be old growth as the growth rings are very narrow. About 4 in. diameter and 7 in. tall. The finial has a Cocobolo lid and a Grenadilla spire. Finish is walnut oil with Beall buff.
