This is Ash, the spots are burned using"wood vaporizer" tool. Had a lot of fun staging this one :) I am not really too pleased with the fins on this one but I thought the photo was worth sharing. It`s about 9 inches I think.
From "Symbols of Person, Series 1", this is "Untitled." (Though in my own personal space, I call it, "A Squid Ate my Bowl.") 5 3/4 in. diameter x 1 1/4" height, round-bottomed bowl, made from dyed plywood. Pyrographized.

Why is our beautiful sea life being destroyed by our environmental ways? By showing both the alive and the consequences, by realism or abstract, while combining wood, and other natural mediums, I hope to create awareness to these issues.
Sand and sea New Zealand Rimu 250mm square ,the wings have been sandblasted and stained ,the bowl has been burnt with Korus similar to Graham Priddles design
