    This is a box elder bowl which measures about 8 1/2 inches across. It was rather plain so I decorated it with 18 routed spirals.

    This is a box elder (Manitoba Maple) vase which is black on the inside and blue on the outside. It has 8 routed spiral slots and measures approx 10 inches tall.

    This is four different shots of one ash vase which measures about 10 inches tall. After each phot, the vase was rotated clockwise by 90 degrees. The pictures show the four "faces" which result from the intersecting left and right spirals. ie spiral left, chevrons down, spiral right...
