I completed a bowl to replace the “redirected” bowl for our group’s bowl exchange. This one is maple 9” diameter, 6 1/2” bowl diameter and 2 1/2” tall. I did the wide rim with a pyrography effect.
Cherry hollow form with ornamental cherry opening and copper inserts, 5” wide by 5 3/4” tall. The pyrography appearance was done with a dental drill. The copper inserts are punch outs. Satin lacquer finish.

Still using the techniques gained from Laurent Niclot, these are a community of turned and carved works. The tips were carved and shaped with rasps. Patterns were pyro-carved followed by multiple coats of dry-brush painting with acrylic paint.
