Heavily Spalted Platter
15" D x 2" T, Spalted Elm, Wet sanded wipe on poly finish. The piece had some soft spots creating tear out. Several "coats" of wet sanding were used to create a sludge, used to fill the tear out. Its a very simple form, the color and grain are the "show".- Doug Freeman
