  1. The Tree

    The Tree

This tree is a collaborative work, Alexa Calliguri and myself. Today we painted, in total eight colors for gradual shading and blending. The wood is kentucky Coffee Tree, a new one for me.
  2. Mushroom trio

    Mushroom trio

A few mushrooms I worked on during a demonstration got finished today. I really like the pink and magenta color combination
  3. Cliff Edge

    Cliff Edge

Mushroom diorama on the cliff edge. Wild wind blowing, the mushrooms braving the storm.
  4. Mushrooms

    Mushrooms

A few mushrooms. The one on its side is holly and cherry cap with rotosaw textures. The middle has surface indents adding depth and texture. The last is a morel. Still working to create a black mushroom, maybe next batch.
  5. Mushrooms

    Mushrooms

Preparing for hands-on class on turning and carving mushrooms. To have examples I worked on a batch of 8. Then I needed to get out of production mode and made 2 more.
  6. Ash platter

    Ash platter

Platter with bark embellishments on the rim. Ash over 12" diameter, which is a change for me. The bark embellishments are a combination of carving and paint, going for textures.
  7. Seed pod

    Seed pod

Turned carved and painted. A little seed pod, it feels so good in your hand.
