Yin Yang basket illusion

I posted a platter a few days ago of the other half of this glue up. To make these you have to make two of them so I did a basket illusion with this one. Oak is a horrible wood for basket illusion work because the beads chip out so bad. And Walnut isn't too great either because it's so dark it is hard to color the pattern. I suffered through the Oak and tried something new using acrylic paint with a very small brush for the walnut side. Not the best basket I've ever done but something different. 11" x 2".

Sorry about the stand Tom. It's just the one handy in my photo setup.
I agree with Will. Nicely done, Curt.
I don't make too many plates or platters that need to be photographed. The last two I just leaned them up against an OJ bottle filled with some water for weight. The bottle won't be seen if you adjust your camera/tripod angle. Example below. Sorry, thought the link would show up and not the picture.
