"Yesterday's Trash"

A small but beautiful piece of straight, dry, tight grained fir 2x4 wouldn't have gotten a second glance from a construction crew a few generations back. Rare and expensive in today's world I couldn't bear to cast it into the burn pile. Three in one. 1-3/4" x 6-1/2" x 3"
Thank you for looking!
Pat:
Pretty darn special for construction lumber! Very nicely done. I assume each pocket is turned about its own centre. Did you use a separate glue block for each pocket or cut a shallow mortise for the chuck for each?
Thank you.

Thanks Barry! I took two opposing jaws off my Stronghold chuck which let me slide the 2x4 block to the three center points. THEN I cut the exterior shape
